Joel Ortman, Tenor, has been singing since his youth. His first on-stage performance was at a fifth-grade recital, singing “The Sound of Music” from the then recently released movie with the same name. He is an active member of the local Choral community having sung with The River City Choral and the International Award winning Great Northern Union. Currently, Joel remains active with Mixed Company, The Croix Chordsmen and The Journeymen choral ensembles
.
Joel continues to study vocals at Tintes Vocal Studio with Matthew Tintes. From 2009-2016, Tintes was part of the nationally and internationally acclaimed men’s vocal ensemble, Cantus.
Joel currently enjoys his retirement from Convergint Technologies as an Operations Manager. He lives in Stillwater, MN with his lovely wife, Sue, where they enjoy cruising the St Croix River on their pontoon.
